Some one is selling me a Apex'i S-AFCII for 100 bucks, it's been on the car for about 2 days so it's fairly new...I'm thinking of purchasing it, But would i need this mod if i get a T-28, raise the boost and put 550cc injectors? Maybe use it as a tuning devise for now. I think i should get it anyway cause it's cheap ;)

Anytime you put bigger than stock injectors in you will need something to tune the injectors with. If your going to get injectors you should get that AFCII.

I would say save your money and get dsmlink and a wideband o2 but thats alot more $$$.
But $100.00 bucks is a cheap price. Its up to you.

Also if you plan to run larger then 550cc inj. s-afcII is pushin it.

Yeah but you can get away with like 660's on an SAFC. But dsmlink is the way to go if you got the money for it.

To the OP if your planning on putting bigger injectors and turning up the boost, you should atleast get a logger, without it you could risk blowing up your motor.

I bought mine SAFCII for $75 and I'll probably be throwing it on ebay and ordering a chip from DSMChips to replace it. I've got DSMLink but its the fake V1 copy that someone on here ripped me off on.

I used to have a SAFC I with some 650s and it ran great. For a hundred bucks I'd pick it up in an instant considering someone stole mine... but yea would be great with the 550s so imo go for it.

Ok i met with the kid and got it, the thing looks like it was never used...not even a scratch on it...It came in the original box with instructions and he even included the original receipt from where and how much he bought it. I'm a happy with the deal :thumb:...i just have to check to see if it even turns on...which brings a question: How can i see if it even turns on without having it installed in the car?? you guys are going to be like :tease: ROFL If this thing doesnt work..LOL. Next thing to tackle is getting a used or even beat up T-25 so i can send it to Force performance so i can get it converted to a T-28.

How can i check if the Apex'i S-AFC II even turns on without having it installed in the car?? anyone? My brother said for me to connect the red wire (Hot) to the battery and the black wire to negative just to see it one..is this true? cause i dont believe him.

When i had my civic, i bought angel eyes headlights and i grabbed a 12V battery from a power drill and i tested just the angel lights to see if they turned on and they did...but i wasnt to sure about the s-afc II. The last thing i want is to burn it out.

Use a 9 volt battery (whatever voltage that rectangle battery is with 2 posts on top, used for walkie talkies etc.) and touch the red to the + and the black wire to the -. You got the diagram and how to install tech right?
