I have a 97 Spyder. Im looking at buying Tokico Illumina's but the guy that has them told me they are FWD and wont work on the spyder or gsx. I thought that the struts were interchangable dispite the fact the manufacturers make diff. applications. Any information would help me alot. Thanks everyone

Yeah, I heard that also...but im pretty sure they will fit without a problem. Plus if i can get a good deal on the illumina's and springs that come with them that would be a plus.

fwd will fit but the ride will not be as nice as with an awd set up. my buddy had fwd sportlines and some sort of fwd shocks (non oem) and that thing was basically tucking with the factory size tires :( when he threw awd stuff on there it was a night and day difference.... i've even had awd stuff on fwd's because I love stiff stuff

I just bought the Tokico HP suspension kit that comes with the 1.5" lowering springs for the AWD application for my spyder. I'm hoping this will give the ride and feel I'm looking for, what do you guys think?
