Just wandering if this would be to small to run a front mount on. Came across a old school set up for the 1g. Not sure if the piping would be too small for air flow... If it is what size should i shoud for. I was thinking never the less it would have air flow from being in the front and isnt 2 inches at least the same size and the factory smic setup if not a bit larger? Or am I totaly wrong on that and 2 inches is a horrible idea?

If you are running a bigger turbo then bigger piping is good because it means better air flow. If you're running a big 16g, 2.5" should be sufficient. Too big means too much space to pressureize which means turbo lag. You should be good with 2.5".

Yeah 2" is roughly about stock size and wouldnt be worth changing the stock stuff out for it. The standard minimum size when people do upgrade is 2.5".

Even if the the piping is the same size, would it not help out by being in the front bumper and having a larger core then the sidemount. Or is all the extra piping just gonna kill it. If I could get the 2.5 inch kit I would, but like I said I guess this is a old school greddy fmic, and piping is only 2 inches I guess. Kit is only 150 minus the licp. Toss up on the worth of this.

if oyu getting a good deal on it and all you have right now is the stock intercooler set up than go for it. even if it is the same size piping the front mount will help in cooler a lot better and piping i assume is hard piping verses the stock rubber piping so ya this will deff. be better than the stock.
