Compression trouble!!!!

They are low. I have a stock 7 bolt engine and I see 175 in mine.

But the good news is that they are consistent. Put a tiny bit of oil in through the spark plug hole of each cylinder one at a time and run a wet test if the compression goes back up then you know that piston rings are in your future. If the numbers stay low then have a leak down test performed or rent a leak down tester and run one yourself.

Or just say screw it and say lower compression means you can run more boost. :D

^What he said^ Also do a compression check on a pre-heated motor not a dead cold motor. That will help in getting a correct measurement.

Ok thanks I will definitely do both of them to make sure everything is ok.

My bad I forgot to mention that this a brand new fully built motor.
forged pistons standard size, new rods, arp head studs,1ghead, 272 cams, aem cam gears, and greddy timing belt.
