Axle Problem?

my car had been running a little funky and stalled on me and my stearing locked up and my tire had hit a pole when i was reversing and my tire moved up. I dont know if its my axle that bent but my tire sits further up than my other tire (right).

Any suggestions what i should do would be very helpful. To go straight i have to have my steering wheel turned a little and it moves around alot which is obvious because my tired are not lined up at all.

I havnt had time to look at it yet but i have it off the road so nothing breaks on it from driving like it is.

Are you having any tranny fluid leak on th ground? How hard did you hit the pole?

Moving the wheel is not a bent axle(although there still may be an issue), it is a suspension issue. Possibly a bent strut, control arm or tie rod/tie rod end(or a combination of). I would go to an allignment shop if nothing is obviously visually bent if it was me.

One other thing you may want to check is your intermediate shaft mount. it is possible that you snaped the bolts that hold it in place

That still wouldnt visaully move the wheel up.


You obviously messed up suspension. More than likely your lower control arm. Just crawl under and look. Compare it to the other side to see whats bent/out of place.

ok thank you very much ill check it tomorrow on my dads lift. i know my struts were worn down pretty bad and seeings how i got it with 120 thousand miles the suspension might be worn a little.
