So I searched and searched for turbo selections for mine specific setup. Narrowed it down to a couple of PTE turbos, Bullseye turbos or a FP turbo.

My supporting setup is:
2G Block
Eagle crank (balanced)
Eagle H-beam Rods
Wiseco 8.3/9.0 pistons (more boost or more low-mid power)
ARP Main studs
Ported Head
Ferrea SS valves
Manley Valve spring kit
FP2X cams
Stock gears
Questioning new Intake Manifold
FP Exhaust manifold
Precision 780cc Injectors
255 Walboro pump
Aeromotive AFPR
Aeromotive hi-vol rail
upgrading lines from tank to filter
DSMlink
deciding on my current 1g bov (crushed) or upgrade
Quaife LSD
Devo twin disc setup
Koyo radiator w/ slim fan

So it's good deal of upgrades and there are definitely some concerns.
My choices are:
PTE- GT3076, GT3582, SCM3431, SCM4431, or SCM6031
FP- 3065
BP- S258 or T04B 60-1

Some have issues with not perfect bolt ups. Some look like the alternator might have to relocated. I am looking for more than 500 HP, between 20-30 psi on 91. All these turbos I know I will like. Lag isn't so much of an issue which is why I'm looking at 50-trim or larger. I know they are easier to tune and more streetable. I will have room for a big turbo with the thinner radiator and slim fan. I have heard good things on all these turbos as far as power. I'm leaning towards the FP3065 or the SCM3431, even the SCM4431 sounds good. This will be a daily driver, with at least a hard pull everyday. I believe all these all ball bearing, would a dual ball bearing be worth it. I am already set on trying to keep it internally gated, and a A/R of .63 for tuning. Should I go with the FP b/c of the exhaust manifold and cams, or the PTE for the options I have? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, especially if they are dual ball bearings. I am ready to buy and ready to build. :thumb:

I believe the S258 is not a BB turbo so if you just have to go BB its not for you. Most of the people on here seem to love the FP turbos but IMO they are too expensive, especially after you buy the extras to make them work(WG, O2 housing,...). Also, you said you want to stay internally gated but the FP's require an external gate. However, if you truly want over 500hp(which is a bit much for a daily driven street car IMO) you should probably go with an external WG. I am looking for a new turbo too and am considering the S256/258(I've heard on here they spool pretty well), or a PTE 3431- either would be good for what you are looking for.:talon:

For your HP goal you'll definitely want to surf away from any turbo using the standard DSM bolt-on exhaust housing and stick with something that has the T3 flange (possibly T4 if you're looking for major pull at the expense of some added lag.) You'll also be looking into a custom manifold by that time....something that will get the turbo away from the water pipe a bit. Eliminating the power steering may be an option as well as moving the alternator if you really want to free up some space for a totally custom exhaust manifold setup.

why not go with a properly sized turbo. like a 50 trim .63 ar both sides. youll have much more fun with it as it spools at 3 grand and runs all the way up to 7500 efficently and is capable of putting down around 450. area under the curve....

Why mess with 50-trims when we all know what a GT37R can do? :D
