Hey i`m gearing up to ordering an evo3 16g from slowboy racing and to minimize the boost creep i plan on ordering it with the 34mm flapper...but....should i go ahead and just have tubine inlet and outlet ported as well? should that help with the boost creep along with a tubular o2 housing? just wanna see what i can cut cost (but still do everything right) so i have enough money for the 2g install kit and the o2 housing

how much boost are you planing on running?

As of right now i would like to run just a moderate 15psi due to a lack of fuel mods, but i do plan on doing fuel mods in the near future (most likely fpr and a 190 wally and also maybe some evo 8 injectors?) and then possibly just around 18psi...all in all i would like to keep the boost moderately low but still get good power

If your planing on keeping the boost low then just the flapper should help a lot, BUT that same flapper has a hard time staying closed if you ever decied to run high levels of boost. I'd recomend that you just have it ported, you could even do it yourself, because that alone will help you with low boost control and allow you to up the boost later on if you so decied.

Excellent advice. You saved me a lot of typing.

I had slowboy port mine when I first purchased it over 3 years ago and I get no boost creep at all. Then I heard a lot of people say that SBR doesnt know how to port the housing so I would be carefull having them port it. Make sure you call them and see if they port the housing to elimate creep.

We have never had any problems with our port work. Obviously you are a prime example. :thumb:

Thanks Joe, Ive heard people say that it didnt eliminate any creep, but thats hearsay. Thats why I said to call you guys up. Again the porting on my turbo just looked amazing compared to others do it there self jobs. SBR did a great job on my turbo. I can hold 9psi with a 3" exhaust and no cat.

Yeah i have read the debates and all the hating before, its all gravy, it happens but myself and a lot of other people have had great results with our port work. :rocks:

If you go with the 190 fuel pump a AFPR is not really needed.
