help please head question!!!!

can any one tell me how to tell if my new head is turbo or nonturbo its a 99 4g63 and it says mitsubishi dohc 16valve......the head that was on my 95 talon says 16 valve dohc 2000.....any differences markings parts or numbers to no 4 sure

heads are the same for turbo and non-turbo.

that isn't quite true. 1g heads are the same between non-turbo and turbo. however, the 2gs have the turbo (4g63) and the non-turbo (420a). a turbo/non-turbo 1g head will have similar sized exhaust/intake ports, if i remember correctly, and the turbo 2g head will have intake ports that are about the same width as the exhaust ports, but noticably shorter in height. now, if it has the aforementioned shorter intake ports and a banjo bolt in the left corner of the head for the oil feed line for the turbo, then you're set!!

Yes they are the same, the Valve covers on the car varied from car to car.

Understandably so. Im not so sure he has the right one however, or just the way he said it. Why would you ask if you have a 4g63. Almost all 4g63 parts are interchangeable.

Because Im Swapint The Whole Engine And I Heard The Intake Cams Are Different And I Dont Want To Turbo A Nonturbo Head With The Smaller Intake Cam And Run Into Problems Im Gonna Post Sum Pictures Up In A Bit
