is this a turbo head?????

i just bought a longblock 4g63 for my turbo tsi...but the engine came with all the turbo parts gone ### he sold them seperatly ....i have a 95 tsi engine and the one i bought is a 99gst the blocks look the same how can i tell if its a turbo head because they dont look exactly the same.....i no theres a 4g63 nonturbo that the only difference is the intake cam but is there any number or anything to identify it? my old one says dohc 2000....and the new one says mitsubishi dohc 16valve

Aren't all 2g 4g63's turbo? If it's a 4g, and it's from a 2g, it's a turbo head. Also, if the ports are bigger, you probably have a 1g.

The 2g non-turbo engine is the 420a and it's considerably different than the 4g63. If they look the same, then it's a turbo engine.
