Bell,
Florida
OK this might be a stupid question, but I've been here in Florida for a few years now. I don't have a large income so my car hasn't been a high priority. When I was coming down I smacked into a raccoon that damaged my intercooler piping that cause it to bleed boost. It also ruined the accessory belt. My car hasn't been started in about 1.5 years, although my engine was completely rebuilt with new parts and all new gaskets. Will it have troubles starting if I try to in the near future? Or will the gaskets have degraded because of it? I know not to start it without priming my turbo beforehand, and it needs an oil change. Can someone give me answers? Again all the gaskets were new, and I've heard I need to drop a few bits of oil into the cylinders from the spark plug holes to prevent the piston rings from seizing, but do you guys have any other advice? It's welcomed.
