Hey,

I'm thinking of upgrading my stock exhaust system.

If I were to upgrade to 3" from stock, would I need to buy a new O2 housing? What changes would I need all around to convert everything to 3"? I know I need the downpipe, muffler and some tubing... do I need a new cat? Or any other pieces?

I was thinking a 3" system, with an Apexi N1 muffler.

Ideas?

I'm at work, so I'll check back later.

Thanks,

-Tyler

You will need to get a new downpipe and everything behind it including a new cat or just eliminate it if you are e-check exempt. You should not have to buy a new o2 housing because most 3in systems will allow the downpipe to bolt up to the factory housing.

Getting a new O2 housing is smart because if you are replacing your whole exhaust you might as well do that too while its off. It will help with turbo spool as well. Look into getting a test pipe to replace with your cat. I have the megan racing exhaust and like it a lot.

Upgrade your maf too. Since you're allowing more exhaust to leave, you need to compensate for more air to enter. Look into getting a 2g maf, or go all out and get a gm maf with a maft.
