i was wondering what is the outlet size of the 14b? and how big has anyone ported theirs.

Dont remember the outlet size. Im pretty sure theres not gains from porting the outlet(cold side) of the turbo

Tiny....although you're limited to the diameter of your j-pipe as well.

If you do any porting, be sure to upgrade your j-pipe to a larger one.

I wouldn't even bother with porting the compressor outlet.

reason i ask is I'm doing my own j-pipe and picking up another 14b tomorrow (my hotside cracked all the way through). Just trying to find out what the size is on the j-pipes that are available. and if porting the turbo would be beneficial if i also used a bigger j pipe (I'm talking about the j pipe for side to side front mount).

If you look at the outlet of the 14B, you'll notice the outlet is offset to the bolts. The most popular upgrade is to port the housing to center the bolt holes are much as possible while allowing enough flange to seal, then using a flange and a piece of 2" mandrel-bent pipe to make your j-pipe.

cool. one last question would a 38mm wastegate flange work as the flange for the inlet of the j pipe? I'm guessing not since you said 2" mandrel pipe for it. that would make it 50mm right?
