Alright so I left on my lights and my battery went dead. Anways when I got it jumped and had it up and running the audio head unit said code. I have the stock audio for my 97 gst. Anyways I didnt know what this meant. So I put in random numbers and after 3 tries it locked me out and it now just says off. I read the manual later (should of read it first) and it said when this happens I need to call the dealership. I really dont feel like paying money for something like this so if anyone knows how to fix the problem I would very well thank you. I was thinking to undo the battery and maybe it would let me try the codes again but I dont think that will work

Pull the radio out and copy the code off it. Call up a dealership and ask them what the code is to unlock it. If they try to charge you, call a different dealership.

And if I remember, you can just leave the battery diconnected for 20 minutes and it should allow you to enter the code again.

call the dealer with your vin and they will tell you the code without pulling the radio
