I want to know if I pull the power steering system out of my car will it put unwanted stress on the steering components the car is a daily driver I have pulled the belts one day so I know it will be harder to turn at a stand still but will it brake anything down the road

Over the past two years ive taken out over 10 power steering pumps on my dsm because some company [big middle finger to orielly's] sold me bad remanuf. parts. Finally I bought a brand new one straight from mitsubishi.

From experience, keep your power steering, it does NOT get any easier to steer. No matter how fast, or slow for that matter, you are going.

first off why do you want to? If you want more power then i can understand. You wont hurt anything down the rood, maybe wear a bushing but thats about it. If you are doing it so you don't have to replace it then, Try replacing-I'd say keep it. It always helps to have and doesn't hurt the arms

I'm doing it just for power and to clean up the motor bay just like the a/c it' just a nother cluter bug I don't want plus i'm use to driving without it

If your going to pull the power steering pump, your going to want to look into a manual rack and pinion. It will make it easy to steer with out the pump in there.
