Ok the car has been down again for now a couple of months...:( I am going to be getting my income tax and it will be around a grand or so. I have to get the motor rebuilt again. But this time Im going to take it to the machine shop where i got my head work done. Now Im not planing on making a lot of power im thinking around. 300-350 at the wheels. So i was just thinking of doing a rebuild with stock interals since i know that goal is quite in the capability of the car. The engine i have is a 7-bolt i have a spare six bolt floating around but don't think that im going to use it. So I was just coming to get some feed back on what you guys thouhgt about that. I also don't plan on getting a turbo any higher than the evo 3 but don't know if im going to be getting that just yet. So I was thinking about getting some 264's to put into the head depending on how much is left after this third and final rebuild is done. Other wise next time :beatentodeath:

Might want to go with larger injectors that 660s. That means you need DSMlink or AEM EMS or ECU+ or something other than SAFC. If so, go 1000cc injectors. Then you get a 255 FP and AFPR. Might as well think about ARP headstuds. Then you need to upgrade the stock SMIC or go water/meth injection.

It all adds up to something more than your tax return. I'd get DSMlink out of the way first and upgrade the fuel system next as cash arrives...maybe get the AFPR 1st, then the 255 FP, and finally the injectors. While you're saving for those, you can play with DSMlink and "learn the ropes". Then get the evo3b16g and hope it doesn't creep too badly for the stock SMIC. If it doesn't, you can set the boost as high as the knock demons will let you. Then when you get bored with that power, decide on upgrading the charge cooling with FMIC, Supra SMIC, water/meth injection, etc. so that you can turn the boost up more.

My $0.02 FWIW.

Why dont you just build up the 6 bolt? I think its a better option than the 7bolt which will probably blow up on you again.. once you get the power you want youll want more so think ahead..

i thought about it but i really just don't want to go through the trouble i did before with the 6-bolt. The main reason im going with the evo3 is for reliability its been down for a long time now and im just trying to fix the stuff that is wrong with it. I was thinking of getting a 190 along with the down pipe cause i am still lacking one of those. So the things i had on my list of things to buy

alarm
down pipe
wide band
egt
190 fuel pump
560 or 660 injectors
super side mount from dejon
port the o2 housing
and maybe if i had enough get the turbo but its last on the list

in this order.
