i have a 1990 gsx and when i bought the car it had a grinding noise coming from the trans when ever you depresed the clutch pedal, so i automatically thought it whas the throw out bearing i took the trans out and replace it. and its still making the noise but not as loud. the trans shifts nice not grinding smoth engagement. what can it be? any ideas?

i read in the treads that you have to put shimes on the input shaft, how is does this go about? any ideas?

I think I had a problem with my TOB this summer, but it magically fixed itself, I couldnt get it into gear and if I could it was very hard. It seemed like my clutch lost pressure also. I dont know what happened for sure but that was my buddys and I's guess. The same thing happened to his SHO and it was his TOB.

Not sure about the shims though...
