Okay... so, forgive my ignorance in advance, but with all this brew-ha-ha regarding EVO III mani's with or without the EGR port, I'm still a bit confused as to what exactly screws into the the threaded EGR port on the actual manifold??

With that said... what else do I need for my E3 mani to keep the EGR functional? Mine does have the threaded EGR port.

Derek Is right.

Some evo 1,2,3 Intake manifolds do come that way. But why start another thread when we already covered this in the evo3 IM thread??
There is a bolt and line similar to a banjo fitting that connects there and routes into the upper IC pipe just after the BOV.
It would work, but it would really crud up your throttle body and whatever took vaccum from the TB. I am going to see a machine shop about doing an aluminum tubing with egr flange in roughly the stock area so I can still use a block off plate and just remove it for those pesky smog trips:p

Again, forgive me on this. Doesn't a 2g have the exact same EGR port in the manifold? And if so, what is connected to the OEM EGR port on a 2g? I guess I'm confused because I'm under the impression that there's something I'm missing that's needed to make the EGR system function correctly.

On your stock intake manifold there is a port there. it is cast into the manifold itself. it runs all the way to the plenum but stops at a flangee for your EGR. the EGR opens and closes to allow bypass when the conditions are correct.

This is why for you and I to make our manifolds "legal", we need to have actual machining and fabrication work done.

Ok I read this thread and the evo intake thread and im still confused as to how to get the egr to work using the evo 3 intake. It was mentioned that there was a banjo fitting type setup that will make the egr work?

My question still remains, how can I get the egr valve to work on my evo intake on my 2g? I just don't want I have the engine light on and be able to actually pass emissions. I'm sorry if I missed this on the evo 3 thread but it very long and I tried to catch every point.

Please somebody provide their experiences on whether they've tried it and either failed or succeeded.

Thank you.
