I gotta 90 tsi. I havea boost gauge. first and second gear my max boost is 15 lbs. Third and fourth, its goes to 12 the 15 then suddenly flys to 20 and stays right there.

my mods are 3 inch turbo back exhaust with cat and k&N FILTER.

I noticed that my boost solenoid has one vacuum line goin to intake, the other nipple is broken off. One other vacuum line goes from the wategate to blowoff valve.

I want to run 15 lbs. Will a mbc cure this>?

Before you install a MBC, try hooking your wastegate up correctly. Try just running a vacuum line from the wastegate to the nipple on your J-pipe. You should see around 12-14psi. As for the BOV, get rid of any "T" fittings and run just a straight vacuum line from the BOV to the intake manifold.

you might have to port your wastegate to prevent spiking near redline. especially when you get a MBC and raise the boost, it will spike faster and higher.

I have the same problem buddy, and a mbc won't solve the problem since the boost creep you get is present even when your wastegate is fully opened. There's actually only 2 ways to solve it: 1)Get your exhaust to be more restrictive (ex: by putting a cat...) or ; 2) port your wastegate like i'll do next summer to get the most out of your setup. :thumb:

I made a mistake wen i wrote this. That how my vacuum lines were hooked up the entire time. there is as nipple broken of my solenoid. one vacuum line off the solenoid goes to the intake, and the other ones not there.

Any one have a link to port the wastegate?

The other nipple is supposed to go to you wastegate and turbo. That line tees right next to the turbo and wastegate. You need to get a MBC or a new BCS and fix that. It will help with the problem. Someone tired to remove the resistor off the BCS and broke the nipple(more than likely) It may not completely cure the problem but it will help, you have nothing regulating pressure right now without that. And it only tees when stock, .

Remove the BCS and hook a vaccum line from the J-Pipe to the wastegate directly. You should see somewhere in the ball park of 9-11 psi. If that doesn't help as mentioned before try porting the wastegate and/or restricting the exhaust a little more. And once you figure this out just tee into the vaccum line from the wastegate->J-pipe and hook up that mbc you want. Just be careful we did that on my friends laser and didnt realize it was turned up (we're all noobs sometime) and we toasted a perfectly good 14b.

UPDATE:

I fixed an exhaust leak and while i did that, I did this blow off valve mod DDG- Talon BOV mod for HIGH BOOST

After I did it iwas running 15 psi max boost, however when I would let off the gas and then get back on it, there was a sligt hestitation that felt real funnie that I didnt like. It also caused my car to have an erratic idle. The blow off valve was sucking some air in at idle so to put my hand over it and it stopped idleing erraticly. Sooo I hooked up the return line back into the intake and the hesitation stopped and now it is still running 15 lbs of boost. DID i hook up that blow off valve mod right?? I put a tee fittin in between the waste gate and the j pipe and connect a vacuum line to the new part made on the blowoff valve. Is the blowoff valve supposed to suck air through it at idel with this mod or is it just worn out??

Thanks

also maybe check the timing on your engine, i have basicly the same setup as you, and with WOT my boost would hesitate at about 15 then steadily start to climb, but when i checked the timing on my car, it wa set at 5 degree's(i believe thats how its measured) but i turned it back to 0 and my car no longer creeps, it goes up to 10( this is stock boost setting), and stays there. hope this helps

A quick tip because this has come up already: The upper part of the B.O.V. MUST AT ALL TIMES be connected to a vacuum/boost source behind the throttle body that has full engine vacuum when the engine is at idle. The new port you just added MUST be hooked to the turbo's outlet barb or somewhere in the intercooling tubing for the BOV to work correctly in fast release mode.
this is also off the BOV mod link, did you connect your correctly?

Is this true? Even with the 2g bcs? I can just have a hose from the j pipe to the wastegate and run 9-11psi?

The "port" that i added with this mod, is connected with a t-fitting in between the wastegate and the jpipe. With the recirculation hose off (venting to atmosphere) during idle the car will idle erractly and hesitate on and off boost, running like shit. The wastegate actually sucks air in while idling....is it bad??? With the vacuum lines hooked up the same way, with the recirculation hose connected to the bov the car runs fine but boost at a max of 14-15 psi. (no whoosh sound or nething)

What was the purpose of this mod again?

um, have you done any other mods, because im sure that you need to get a MAF translator, because the stock BOV doesnt vent, it recirculates the turbocharged air back into the system. maybe this is your problem, stop venting unless your car is mod'd to handle this. also the BOV does make a whooosh sound, its just not very loud, and it only happens when you have the throttle open and are boosting( you have a boost gauge?)

ya i got boost gauge and 3 inch exhaust. I was runnin more boost before i fixed my exhaust leak and idd this mod.
