Hey guys I did a search on an install guide for the Forced Performance 4" Intake and got very little help. I know the cone filter can be a problem since it has to match the airflow sensor but has anyone done a write up on installing this. I'd love to get it sooner than possible cause I'm going to be installing it bright and early tomorrow morning.

By intake, do you mean intake pipe? The filter and intake pipe are two different parts. The filter needs to bolt up to the MAS which has an octagonal shape. But that's the filter. The other side of the MAS (downwind) is where the intake pipe connects (and the other end connects to the compressor inlet on the turbocharger). The intake pipe connects to both with hose clamps. Also, the BOV recirc tube, charcoal canister line, VC breather line, and BCS bleeder line all connect to tubes/nipples on the intake pipe unless you got a model without some/all of them (in which case, you need to handle those somehow). And if it's a 4" outlet, I'm hoping you have either a reducer or a huge turbo, because the stock T25 has a 2.125" compressor inlet outer diameter.

But you just have to unbolt the air filter box (if stock - 4 bolts), unplug the MAS, disconnect all the tubes on the stock intake pipe/snorkel, unclamp the intake pipe from the compressor inlet, pull the whole thing out of the car, disconnect the stock intake pipe from the MAS, and put everything back together with the new intake pipe.

EDIT: I see in your profile that you have an FP B28 turbo. The 4" intake pipe is too big for that turbo (which has the same compressor inlet outer diameter as a T25). I'm not sure how easy it would be to reduce that intake pipe down to ~2.5".

It's simple... FP makes a coupler for t25 and t28 turbos..
Right, because all cars with T25's should have intake tubes that are bigger than the turbo's compressor cover! ROFL ROFL ROFL

If anyone has this intake on their car with a T25, now would be a good time to post some pics....I'm in the mood for a good laugh.

Dejon 4" intake pipe with FP's 4" to 2.25" Reducer Coupler on a small 16g. There's nothing wrong with buying an intake pipe that will fit just about any turbo :|

Yes I already purchased the reducer that FP sells with these intake pipes. Sorry for the lack of clarification. I was also looking to see what filters people are running on these. Any ideas also for what I can do to clean up the charcoal canister line, VC breather line, and BCS bleeder line?

If your K&N filter will still work, I'd just keep that.

As for the other lines, you need the VC breather plugged back into the intake pipe or you suck unmetered air when the intake manifold is under vaccuum. The BCS bleeder line can be eliminated if you go to a MBC or EBC that's not a bleeder-type, or you could add a nipple to the intake pipe (search for how to do this). The BOV recirc tube is needed. You shouldn't vent your BOV without supporting mods. The charcoal canister can be eliminated depending on emissions laws in your area, or you can add the nipple for that, too. But maybe your intake pipe has all of these tubes/nipples on it already.

Or you could return that intake pipe and get something that was designed for this application.

The FP intake doesn't have fittings for any vacuum lines & the BOV recirculation tube is an option (hope you got this since your running a stock MAF). For mine I just used the MAF to filter adapter & K&N filter that I origionally had with my Injen intake. Different companies make the MAF to filter adapter (believe Vibrant seels one & their on Ebay). For the filter, look for a K&N or those fairly new AEM filters that don't use oil look pretty good (don't cheap out on the filter). You want a cone shape, with I believe a 5" outlet (double check with what adapter you end up with). If your running an aftermarket boost controller you can eliminate the vacuum hosees for that. You'll still want the valve cover vent hose & charcoal canister connected to your intake (if you want to prevent oil build-up in your intake/IC pipes run an inline catch can). For these you need to drill & tapp the intake to install threaded barbed fittings.

If you have a GM MAF upstream on the intercooler pipe and are looking for a cone filter to hook up directly to the intake pipe, go to a parts store that sells K&N filters and have them order you one for a mid to late 90's Pontiac Trans am with the 350 TPI. The snorkel is the same as the oval section of the pipe. I just went through this myself. Good luck
