Spark Plug Wire Lengths - 98 GSX

I have gone through 3 brands of spark plug wires from NAPA, Shucks, Autozone, etc. and all three sets were too long for my car. Anybody have an explanation?

The car is a 1998 GSX.

It's a daily driver and isn't hot rodded, so I could give a rat's ass about what brand they are. They just need to fit. Wth is going on?

NGK wires will fail you not, better then any autozone crap and not pricey.

All the parts store crap has a tendancy to break and fall apart when used on NGK plugs, best off to go with OEM/NGK wires as well.

NGK wires for the 2G GST/GSX are as follows:



Wire Length No.1 339mm or 13.35 inches
Wire Length No.2 459mm or 18.07 inches
Wire Length No.3 539mm or 21.22 inches
Wire Length No.4 599mm or 23.58 inches

I have had my Accel Thundersports for a while and they still work good. I would suggest those, or ngks. Magnacore is pricey, but work good too.

Cut them down and put on new connectors. Or, save a step (and cash) and just get bulk wire and ends and build your own.
