I can pull the E-brake up in my 1993 talon tsi AWD and let out on the clutch pedal in first gear while giving roughly 2k-3k rpm's and it doesn't buck, die or even move. It just stays steady revving like its in neutral or something. Is the clutch boned or is there possibly any other error I might have to address during the clutch replacement?

Thanks everyone in advance

I had that problem and luckely it went away, but my other friend had it and it was his TOB. Throw out bearing.

Sounds like the clutch is toast. Will it drive through the clutch in 5th gear?

Also I would check the clutch pedal adjustment just to make sure it not out of adjustment.

Mine was when i first got my car and I managed to get another 2000miles out of a bad clutch before I replaced it with new ACT2600.

It goes through all the gears, it creeps forward if I keep the rpm's low enough and once it gets some momentum I can get up to speed but the second I get over 2500rpm it revvs up.

IMO it sounds like the clutch is done. I still would check to see where the pedal adjustment is. Its easy and quick. Just getting at it under the dash is a kinda a pain.

So an act 2100 with street disc, act flywheel, oem mitsu t.o.b, pivot ball, fork, ss clutch line, rear main seal and gasket for good measure while i'm in there. Anything sound missing?
