CNC project needed

Anybody have a sketch, outline, or blueprints for a 02 housing flange, like found here-

I need to come up with a CNC project for a class. This would work, but it might not be elaborate enough. I'll have to find out what the requirements are. Either way, if anyone knows of some parts that might be a good project for a CNC let me know. I'm fairly good with Solidworks, so drafting the part isn't a problem. The main thing, is that I don't own a DSM yet, I'm just surfing the forum and learning before I make a purchase, but I need to come up with a CNC project for a class I'm taking. I figured a DSM part would be fun and useful in the future. I couldn't guarantee I could make a copy for someone, but if someone had ideas, and blueprints, dimensions, or even wanted to mail me a part, I'd get it back to you in a couple months and hopefully with a copy.

Just thought I'd throw the idea out there.

What program are you running the machine in your class with? I run a Fadal CNC and I use mastercam X, i can try to help. How soon do you need it? I mostly make Alum. parts, and the mitsu turbo outlet flange is really only about $6-12 dollars in steel material. How in depth are you getting? Pulleys, 3D work?

We have three different cncs and we are running mastercam. I was just trying to come up with something cool to make. I'd like to make a few things for the expereince. If you had any mastercam files that I could work with, or even just look at to see how they are put together, I'd love to see them. I've done machining, but this is my first time on the CNC. We just started writing simple operations, like having it spell out names out.

So yeah, any project ideas would be great. If you need more info on our capabilities I could find it out. I'm still new to this, so you'd have to ask specic questions. The machine is a pretty nice one, so it should handle most operations.

Depending on the difficulty you need for the class project you could make a spark plug wire cover with a custom design on them.

I like this idea, too. You could make the O2 housing flange on a traditional mill, but you couldn't do the spark plug cover with any custom "artwork" or graphics on it without CNC. Might as well get the most out of this project.

I actually make a spark cover with all sort of designs but its hard to sell them on ebay. i can send you a sample of a few ideas and you can tell me if they will be ok, i am currently working on a supercharger pulley for a friends slow-balt ss. Also i have a design for a recaro badge emblem . lemme know

Well, if anyone has any mastercam files, I'd love to see them just for the sake of study. I am still trying to find out the requirements for the course. So I'll be keeping you guys posted.

That'd be awesome. I think a spark plug cover would be cool. Any project would be fun though...
