whats up guys, well seeing as i dont know what part this is and were it goes to (1st pic) i couldnt really search for anything, so with that said, does anyone know what is it, were it goes and if its bad that its not hooked up to anything?

the second pic is of the crack i found in my exhaust manifold, i took the heat shield off to paint it flat black or something and found a nice 1 inch crack :(

the third pic is of my t25 wastgate, now i thought i read somewhere that i should be able to move it without the car being on (but i could be wrong), i tried pushing the actuator in diff directions and it really didint move anyway what so ever...so, idk...that bad, good...the car does have over boosting problems, but im in the process of getting my MCB installed.

the car sitn running at the moment, i need to order new plugs and put the intake back in and what not, oh and im pretty sure i have a boost leak, last time i had the car running the vac on the boost gauge would start to crawl from 20 to about 14 or 15, i was told it should stay at 20, prior to my new air intake it was alwaya at 20.

just trying to give as much info as possible...

thanks guys...

Where is that on the car for the first pic? It's a resistor block that is used to dissipate current by transferring it to heat... what it is for, that's something else. There are several in various places, but i have not seen one that small.

I guess it could actually be some sort of temp tester as well using the reverse of aforementioned method, although I do not know where a dry version would be on our vehicles.

Sorry about the mani. You'll want to check the inside condition to make sure there aren't any chunks about to fall off and into your turbine housing. Crunch crunch.

As for the actuator, it should NOT move. If it moves without any vac on it, then the thing is broken. If you try to move it too much then you'll break it. If you attach a vac tester to the nipple and supply some vacuum, it should pull towards, opening the flange.

the thing in the first pic pretty much sits under my MAF, at least thats were the wiring and everything comes out too...

yeah ill have to take off the mani, thing that sucks is, idk how long its been like that...i fix one thing, only to find another problem...gotta love em (DSMs that is)

thanks for the info architechnik

Under the MAF?....
I'm sorry, but I have no idea. I guess it could be something specific to 2gs and spiders, though. There is one on my A/C fan that controls the speed by reducing the overall volts going through the line. It's a lame method to change speeds, but I guess this could be one for you main if it's in the same area. Have you tracked it to the source?

the cource, yeah, i tried, it just gets tied in with a shit ton of other electrical lines, then i lose it and cant figure out were it goes...

from the looks of it, it hasnt been hooked up to anthing in a long long time...damn cars for being so complicated, LOL

For the wire: Were your boost control solenoid sat at there should be a conection like that put capped off. Mine is anyways. See if you still have it there I dont know what it is but it is there. I will post a pic of mine tomorrow if you are not sure what it looks like or what I am talking about.

Here's where I have that thing - the generator relay - mounted up.
