Windsor,
so, the new DSM seems to have another problem, other than the fact that it had a blown tranny when I got it last week (already put in a new one)
I was backing it into my buddy's garage and it decided to cover the side of his white Skyline GT-R in oil shot from the exhaust..
I'm going to do a compression test, I really hope it is just valve seals, because I'm going to be taking off the head anyways.. I really hope it's not the 16G Turbo, or the bottom end..
it's not really burning oil, just spraying it out the exhaust..

what does everyone else think?
it was also sitting for the last 6+ months untill I got it last week and this was really the 3rd time I actoually turned it on to move it, since it still has 91+ Shifter cables and a 90 tranny, it wont shift untill I get the correct parts. drives great around the neighborhood in 2nd gear!
so maybe from sitting oil could have leaked out and pooled somewhere? bottom line is that I need to get the correct shifter assembly and drive this thing around for a bit and see if that burns it off, but untill then does anyone have any ideas?

It may only be that the oil just leaked around the valve seals. I would stick with that theory first. Valve seals are a little less expensive to replace and your head may need it anyways. My talon sat for 2 years and it blew a little oil out the exhaust the first few times I moved it around. I think it was left over oil on top of the pistons after I rebuilt the head. hope it is not anything else. starts getting expensive from there.
