Ok i think i have a important question, i am going to assume, that tapping a compressor housing is the same as tapping anything else. I am pretty sure its aluminum but is it any different, and that jpipe from extreme psi is being a pain in the butt. Does anyone know how how i can bolt in the last bolt. It seems like the bend in the jpipe is to curved, its hard to explain. So any help would be great. On both subjects.

No its aluminum and use letter R drill bit and a 1/8 NPT tap I just did mine if you would like a picture let me know.

I tapped mine in the bolt hole by the compressors outlet!

I also have a j-pipe forsale that fits perfect with the bolts!

its a nice write up, but not what i am looking for actually. I am looking to tap those two bolt holes that hold the jpipe to the compressor housing.

I still don't understand how tapping those holes is going to help your problem. But instead of using normal hex bolts, you can use allen head bolts. They are easier to bolt in with the weird curve of the j-pipe.

Just do as turbosax2 said use allen head screws. Tapping the two holes won't do anything for you. The holes don't have enough clearance around them for a bigger longer bolt, you will only create more problems.

you guys seem to be missing on what i am saying, the allen head bolt will not go in. I think the threads are ruined, hence the reason i need to retap them. But if you guys have any other ideas please let me know.

Ok how about this. I need to rethread the two bolt holes, where the jpipe will mount to the compressor housing. Hopefully this is better.

Okay, that's a little better. Try to find a Heli-Coil that has the same size threads as the j-pipe bolts.

I know that one of the holes is through and through and the other is a blind hole which requires a blind tap.
