Ok im buying a exhaust. I am still stock except for uicp, greddy type s bov. I wanna buy a exhaust. So should i still buy this. Is a full exhaust just a catback with a downpipe???

Yes that is a good exhaust. I run a thermal exhaust myself as well and am very pleased. Sounds deep and its stainless steel, cant beat that. That kit you have shown is just from the cat back->. That doesnt include the downpipe. But its a nice peice that bolts up and you can upgrade your downpipe at a later date.

That seems like fairly average price for the thermal exhaust. By "full exhaust" i assume you mean a turbo back exhaust. This includes an o2 housing, downpipe, catalytic converter/test pipe or have a downpipe that eliminates the cat, and that cat-back exhaust. Also if you want to go for a full 3in exhaust Im pretty sure the thermal exhaust necks down to 2.5in at the cat, but i could be wrong....

Thats cheap for Thermal I guess not saying its bad just expensive.
If you want it to be a full 3" exhaust you are going to have to cut the pipe where it connects to your downpipe and weld up a 3" piece of pipe. It bottlenecks to 2.75% right there.
I consider a full exhaust from your 02 housing and back.
Get a Megan Racing exhaust I have one and love it. it also alot cheaper.
Alot of ppl run them on here and I have no complaints. Its all about name brand your paying for the label.

So if i bought the thermal and added a downpipe i would have a "turbo back exhaust" now my question is can i keep it legal. if someone can message me on AIM : whotippedmycow id appreciate it. i have some questions and need someone who knows.

If you upgrade the 02 housing too then you have a "turbo back exhaust"
The only way to keep it legal is to get a downpipe that alows you to bolt a high flow cat up to it.
If you dont have E-Check or anything though I wouldnt worry about it.

If you add a O2 housing, downpipe, cat/testpipe, catback then you have a full exhaust. I would recommend evo III O2(bored out close to three inches) or some other cast housing, then a Full three inch exhaust without having parts that reduce to 2.75 or 2.5. Talk to the people at extremepsi.com. They are very helpful and really know there products.
