Shop prices?

Hello i'm thinking about taking my laser 1.8L in to get a timing belt put on it and i was just wondering on about how much would it run.. what have other people paid to have them put on their cars and such... sorry if this is a repost..

HOLY MOLY!!! thats so much. they better be the best shop. i Live in California and there are shops that charge from $50(hook-up price) all the way up to about $175 but thats for a timing job not a general job.

Lmao, in my country is 10 bucks. I gotta love this place. Im charging a friend 150 bucks for a full engine rebuild to help him out some. A timing belt job is a 15-20 minute job. Obviously done with someone with experience.

No joke! You're in SoCal too, you'd think it'd be more expensive. It's $100/hr here for pretty much not notch tuning and doing work on tractors is around $70/hr give or take.

after the 8th I'm taking the car to the shop to get it fixed, I'm gonna get it to run again like it was, then I'll take it to the shop and have them fine tune it.. I can get it to run but it runs like shit, as if it is a tooth out of time I've tried adjusting it a tooth but it don't seam to help it just seams to throw every thing out of wack then i got to start completely over and get it all timed back again.. the distributer running off the camshaft really gets me confused... I'll have around $250 so hopefully that'll get it fixed or the problem figured out... Every thing on it is new, new pistons, rings, bearings, oil pump belts, all of it... Plugs, wires and air filter to...
