I have a 98 GS 420A and recently replaced the thermostat housing(radiator cap side). After doing so I went to fire up the engine and no start. I would hear the clicking noise. The oil light came on so I stopped and went to check my oil level. Oil level was mid mark(closer to max) but the oil was black and sticky so I figured it was time for an oil change(just bought car). Put in 4.5 quarts of Mobil 1 10w30 and replaced filter. I goto fire up the engine and still no start, oil light on and still the clicking/buzzing noise on crank.
I wanted to know if the oil pressure sensor or switch could halt ignition? If so does anyone know exactly where it is located or what it looks like(wire color, etc)? Thank you.
