1. Is this correct- If I get a High Pressure F255 Fuel pump, I will need an AFPR because the pressure will be too high for my stock pressure regulator and if I do not get the AFPR I will have rich conditions on idle and cruising, but I could run it this way if I had to.

2. If I get an AFPR, will I need a new gauge? (Sadly, I don't even own a DSM, yet, and I did not even know they came with a fuel pressure gauge, but now I am under that impression.)

3. What is the difference between the $115 weapon AFPR and the $300 Buschur? I.e. what am I looking for in an AFPR?

Oops, too slow on my response. Oh well...

1) Correct, however the pressure will be too high because the stock regulator cannot bypass the volume of fuel from the higher flowing pump.

2) You will need a gauge. DSMs do not have a fuel pressure gauge. You can either get one that threads into the regulator or an electric one that goes in the cabin with you. You'll need the gauge to set the base fuel pressure, but it's a good gauge to have with you in the car to monitor fuel pressure under load if you can afford it.

3) I'm not familiar with the weapon AFPR. You're usually safe with name brands (Aeromotive, SX, Fuelab, AEM maybe, etc). The difference I've seen with most AFPRs is the type of connections, number of ports, and whether they have gauge ports. Look in the parts section on this site to find places that sell full kits it you're not comfortable with AN fittings and making your own fuel lines. I know there are a couple of tech articles on here that go through diy AFPR installs, etc.

Hope this helps.

Bang for the buck thats the best kit to get then the marshall liquid filled guage.
If you go to the link thats for the AFPR stainless lines, all the fittings you need, then you just add on the guage.
Theres a cheaper kit for like $187 I believe and thats because it doesnt have S.S. lines

Get teh kit 97gstjosh linked you to.. or get their basic DSM (aeromotive) AFPR kit.. i paid under 200 for mine with a guage and alll teh parts to make it work...GREAT BUY! Much cheaper than the AEM i had before, but remember to teflon tape all teh threaded fittings to make sure it's accurate and doesn't leak!
