Washington,
Ok. So I'm doing the whole ebay 16g turbo experiment. The car is almost done, save for the bumper. I had a leak at the jpipe that has been fixed and I don't see anymore boost leaks. But this is what's going on from another post...

At this point i'm out of ideas. It may just be that the car has been sitting for so long. I fixed the boost leaks and jpipe. What happens is as follows:

The car will boost fine up until about 11 psi in 3rd (thou it takes forever to get there). Then as soon as it goes past 11psi I hear a "boom". And have to let off the gas. I didn't think my stock injectors would quit on me at 12 psi. Thus far I'm not seeing much power at all at 12psi.

Is your boost gauge accurate? What your saying sounds like your running out of fuel. Trust me I know, I get it all the time. looks like its time to upgrade.

Extend the bolt on my wastegate? Please explain (i will search too). It does feel like i'm running out of fuel- but turbo feels weaker then my t25 did LOL. However why am I running out of fuel at only 11psi? I thought the stock system was good for 15psi. I'm even running a walbro 190 now too. I did this:

YouTube - How to check a wastegate to make sure it functions properly

That's my vid.

that is what i was referring to. That bolt that you adjusted. If you dont have any boost leaks and this is still happening check your plugs, you said that it has been sitting a while you might want to change them. Do you have a logger?

The plugs and wires have about 200 miles on them. I have a wideband and cable for my palm pilot for logger en route. Thank you for the quick reply. Now i'm wondering if perhaps 15psi is too much boost to run on a basically stock fuel system (i do have a walbro 190). From my past experience 15psi on a t-25 or any other turbo is the same as 15psi on a 16g as far as fuel needs are concerned. Right?? (On percocets for broken rib, so may be thinking wrong).

No thats not true. It all depends on airflow and how much fuel you need. 10psi maybe, but at 15 is when the 16g starts to pull away. I would check your gauge to make sure its not wrong. And I have been told that with 450's and a 190 you can push 16. But that is just what I have heard. Just wait for your logger and then you will know for sure.

Thanks again, will get back to you guys with results. For now I will switch to 10psi.

First of all do you have an adjustable FPR ?? bigger pump= FPR. Look also at wires/plugs/coil pack make sure all are in working condition. Replace the fuel filter also

Thanks for the reply but adjustable fpr is not needed for a walbro 190. I think I may have found my problems. Will report back when sure.
