Hey guys I have my stock exhaust with a hollowed out cat that i did a long time ago, I was just wondering if I should put in a test pipe instead. Would it make a difference?:talon:

If you are still on the stock exhaust system then I doubt changing your modified cat (which is in essence acting like a test pipe) will make any appreciable difference. Besides, if a cop happens to look under the car everything will look ok. Leave it be IMO until you upgrade the entire thing (which every self respecting driver of a turbo car should do ;)).

Well with the gutted cat it will create some turbulence in the empty cat casing, But if your on stock exhaust i dont think that a little turbulence in the cat is going to matter much. But if you later upgrade i would say go with a test pipe do to it being a smooth pipe which means no turbulence :thumb: Or if you want it to look like you have cat, make a strait pipe to put through the casing so its basically a test pipe with a cat casing around it making it look like you have 1 :D

When you get an aftermarket exhaust an aftermarket testpipe may have a better fitment due to the brand new flanges. (no rust because im sure your cat has some now)
