No spark!!!

the car has no spark and wont start. I have replaced the coilpack and the ingintiion timing module. what could be wrong????

cam angle sensor could either be dead, or unplugged.

Also check the crank sensor.

check to make sure your cam angle sensor is working properly, also how did you check to see if there was spark? Did the car run prior to this problem?

1g cars have no crank sensors.. the cas run both cam position and crank position. as far the no spark wont start, check you power transistor, there is a test you can do and find the page on here, also you may want to check your fuses, the ones under the dash and under the hood. there is an ignition fuse that wont have spark when blown

Mine did the same thing, coil pack was fine, transistor was fine, cas was fine.. I plugged the a/c harness into the coil pack when doing my head. Turns out they use the same triangle plug.

There are some tests in here, but law of averages if you have 12 volts on the injectors and coils, I would look seriously at the Cam angle sensor as several good gentlemen alluded to above. I really think you guys did a good job covering it.

^Most definately test the CAM sensor and see what you have there. Chances are, that could be your culprit. Let us know how you make out. Good luck
