[RESOLVED] confused on ab automatic to manual swap

k guys i am alittle confused on a automatic to manual swap. i got all the conversion parts i would need off a 95 eclipse manual pedels clutch. ect ect. now i kno i could use 95-99 manual trans from a talon. eclipse . avenger. and sebring.. but what about a neon? is it possible? everyone i ask cant answer me. help would be much appri

Yes.

If you use a pre-2000 Neon MTX, you will have to swap bellhousing with that of 2gnt MTX in order to maintin your hydraulic clutch. You could also convert to cable clutch, if you wanted to.

Post-2000 Neon MTX's used a hydraulic clutch, and is very simple to install.

but if you look closely the housing looks cracked

ok guys i hate to be a pain. but i called my local junk yard. and they have a 2000 dodge neon manual trans for 350! now i wanna go pick it up. so now def if i go pick this up it would be a direct swap. axles bellhousings and all? i don't have to do any mods? i already got the foot pedals clutch and all that. please let me know so i could grab this thing!

$500 is a bit steep for a transmission, especially one with a wretched crap in the bellhousing. Get the junkyard one.

Sometimes, the weight on a shift lever of the Neon MTX gets in the way of things, and should be ground down, or cut off.

ok so i m gonna pick up the junk yard one... so 100% i could use this 00 neon tranny in my 97 eclipse without any issues right? bolt up and hook up fine? yes or no later guys
