So im trying to buy an exhaust system for my car. I was looking at gettng the Apexi N1 DP, but the measurements say that its 70mm for a gst. thats only about 2.7in, is that not considered a full 3in system or will that fit on any 3in cat back exhaust? IF not, what would be a good set up (type of DP, cat, and cat back exhaust) thanks

70mm is the outside diameter. Im willing to bet the inside diameter is less than 2.5 inches. If i had a gst I would go with the RRE downpipe, it begins at 2.5 then expands to 3 inch. Check out the espelier cat back, it's 80mm.

Wrong. The 70mm is the ID. It starts out at 2.5" from the O2 housing and then gets bigger after the flex section.

From what i've heard from all the shops i've called, because i'm in your same situation, Is that the apexi is a brand.. But it sucks, the flex falls apart, aluminized finish wears off to quickly.. They have a warrenty and they'll replace it if you dont mind the couple of days downtime... They make decent number gains (with supporting mods). I'm a big fan of apexi, but is it worth the chance of downtime?..

Try the whole VRS turbo back system.. Worked for me.. The flex section even had enough play i didnt have to get my flange wacked off and rewelded to fit my o2 housing (evo III on a 90 gst w/ the hafe manifold).. Sounds good.. Low tone, nice bass tone.. Comes with everything you need from the 02 eliminator, downpipe, test pipe, cat back w/ magnaflow muffler.. Not bad for only 649 from SBR

I'm very happy with my Apexi system (GT downpipe and N1 Catback), especially since the entire thing cost me only $200. The install was a breeze after the old exhaust components were removed. The sound is incredible and is exactly what I was expecting. Wouldn't recommend anything else...

How bout the Megan Catback?

Haha, that was a great answer ROFL

But yeah, i second that choice. It'll work great with that DP, plus its a steal for the price. You should see some decent response once you open up to the 3in.

I personally have an hks cat w/ the megan dp, 3in. and she sounds mean. Plus the difference it made on the stock t25 was amazing
