Ok I've been on this project for a while now. It's a 2g with a 6 bolt 2.3 swap and finaly finished it up to find problems. So far the alternato fuse blew, the head light don't turn off and not getting enough fuel pressure. My main conserne is the fuel pressure. It is a 255hp ran with -6 lines, -6 fuel filter, -6 to the rail, and an after market rail with afpr on 660's. The gauge wich is mounted on the rail isn't reading anything until cranking over and then only get about 10 psi. I hear the pump on after cranking, not before. Can someone please help before I close the garage door and weld it shut!

It's the motors 1st start up, and we did try to adjust it and still only got 10 psi. I'm going to check voltage tomarrow, is there anything else it could be?

On the firewall near the battery there are a few colored plugs. According to this link, the blue one is to test the fuel pump (although I thought blue was for timing?). You should power the fuel pump with the car off and see how much fuel pressure you get and try to adjust the afpr to 43.5 from there. Also, check for fuel leaks and kinks in the line.

AEM fuel rail, and I can't remember the regulators brand for the life of me. Pump is a walborow, denso 660 and -6 an lines through out. It has a mr. gasket -6 fuel filter housing.

I think the best thing to do is get the fuel pump running with the car off so you can get a proper reading and adjust the afpr. There is a chance your gauge might be defective too.

Does the alternator fuse blow again when replaced? If so than the rectifier in the alternator is most likely junk. Take the alternator down to a professional and have checked. That problem is not related to the fuel pressure, that is another issue I believe.

It's not the alternator, I have continuity in the wire some where to ground. I was just staiting my after noon. I'm more worried about the fuel at the moment. I think I can fix that problem.

Thats the issue. When the nut is removed to take the main power wire off the alternator it is often too tight and will spin the stud inside the alternator which causes it to ground out and blow the alternator fuse. I'm not saying it's the problem. That's why I asked if continually blows the alternator fuse.
