Alright guys so heres the deal. I bought a 91 awd talon about 3 weeks ago. For the first week it drove fine. Then when i was drivin it one day i noticed the gears were startin to go in sloppy. Well once i looked under the hood there was a crack in the bell housing about 4 inches long coming from the top bell housing bolt closest to the slave cylinder. Well then i took it to my machinist and he welded it up for me and then I put it back together. I put a 2100 in it now and im missing the bottom bell housing bolt, which i think is the reason for it no goin in gear. Also, when you engage the clutch you can see the bottom on the tranny push away from the motor. That is the problem now the car wont go in gear. I got a new slave cylinder and the clutch was bled already. So if ya guys could help me thanks.....

I am guessing the bolt problem is what caused the trans to break the first time. If the bolts are backing out it would be a good idea to replace the bolts, clean the threads in the engine and use removable loctite on the bolts to prevent them from backing out. If a bolt is missing in the trans it puts stress on the bell housing and the input shaft.

Get the transmission solid to the engine before you drive it any more.

Definatly, once you have your tranny secure of course, also with the act clutches the loger slave cylander rod helps alot i had the same problem with my first gen when i put in my 2600. But my transmission was bolted up.

Cracking in that spot is very common. I had my replacement transmission welded up last month. You need to get that bolt in there. You are stressing the transmission alot by allowing it to move like that. Your problem should be solved once the transmission is properly secured. If not you are probably going to have to take a look at your pedal assembly and master cylinder.

The master cylinder was replaced when I the slave cylinder. My problem is that theres a bolt broke off in my block............:

Try and borrow an extractor set. I've seen bolts broke off in dsm's all the time. If you have access to a welder try this.

Find an old nut that you might have laying around. Hold that against the bolt that's broke. Use the welder and weld the inside of the nut to the broken bolt. Let it cool and back it out. Works like a charm.

After you get your tranny secure you're going to have to adjust your master cylinder. If you put the master cylinder in yourself you should know where to adjust it at. You want just a little play in the top of the clutch pedal and would like engagement about half way. Once everything is working properly you can adjust to your likings.
