i'm having this problem with my turbo system. i am getting blue smoke coming out my tail pipe, so i suspected it was the seal. i replaced it with a new turbo and same thing. so now i decided to take off the turbo to see if there was smoke from the eninge but found none. then i put the turbo back on and removed the oil feed line but same problem (smoke from the tail pipe) then i removed the oil return line and no more smoke. ? i'm lost and any info appreicated

Your right, I miss read the post sorry. Make sure that your crankcase ventalation system is working properly. If it is clogged then you will feel a rush of air pressure when you take off the oil cap. Let the car idle till you see smoke from the exhaust. While car is running remove cap. If crankcase pressure is the problem, the smoke will stop within a few seconds of removing the oil cap.

when i just have the return line hooked up =smoke
when i have no feed no return = no smoke
when i have just feed line = smoke

do u think too much oil pressure ?

how do i fix the crankcase ventilation problem it thats what it is? sorry about all the questions but the car has been in the shop for 4 weeks and i got no answers

did a compresshion test, and couldn't you notice if the rings were bad by looking when the head was off ?

Ignore catch can. You obviously dont have one then. Just make sure you have a good free flow of air no restriction from valve cover to intake. That means NO restriction. make sure you cant blow ANY air into the hose. You need to pressurize that hose atleast to the same amount of pressure as the amount of boost your running. You really should TEE that line so that you have one hose on the valve covergoin to a tee, One side of the tee has a line hooked to intake system before the turbo, and the other line hooked to the intake after the throttle body. Both lines need a check valve.

valve cover = tee
side 1= check valve to manifold
side 2= check valve to turbo ? i dont have any vac lines going the turbo

thanks for all the helpful info if the oil pressure sending unit is broke will oil pressure levels go up should i get an aftermarket one?
