So, I have it tee'd to the line going from the fps to the intake mani nipple and Im not sure if Im getting accurate readings because the built in boost gauge thats in the greddy profec B spec II says that im boosting as high as 28PSI with the stock boost solenoid.. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe that teeing into the FPS vacuum line is the most common method for connection to the boost guage (this is how I have always had mine set up) and should not be a problem.

Looking at your profile you do not have any significant mods. Therefore, I would think that if you really were hitting 28 psi that you would likely be experiencing fuel cut. Nonetheless check to make sure that the vacuum line to the wastegate nipple has not come off.

Double check the install of your EBC. I'm not familiar with the Greddy (I have a Blitz EBC) but complete the install (control box/solenoid) and then check again with lowest possible boost setting.

The pressure source for your EBC should NOT be teed off the BOV/CBV line, it should be coming from the compressor outlet elbow.
Where is your boost gauge tapped in? Most people do it from the manifold side of the fuel pressure regulator/solenoid line for simplicity.

You CAN hit 30psi without hitting fuel cut... you just can't sustain it for more than a half-second. You should NEVER hold down the throttle if you see your boost gauge going past 20, if you don't have the supporting mods and know why it's passing 20 and where it should be stopping.
If it's a mechanical boost gauge, unless it's broken the only way it'll read 28psi is if you're boosting that high.
Sounds like you mis-installed your EBC, or programmed it wrong. This is why I tell people not to shell out for the ricer discoball-toys... just stick with a plain old ball-and-spring MBC.

The greddy profec b spec 2 is a very good, but misunderstood EBC.

1. Are you SURE that you have your measurement set for PSI rather than KPA?

2. it is known that the digital gauge in the profec reads higher than actual boost and SHOULD NOT be used as a boost gauge by itself.

3. are you useing the inline filter that came with the profec? this also affects the boost measurement.

4. what are your settings at? are you aware that the gain setting being set too high causes spikes and over boosting?

The profec is a lot of fun once you figure out how to use it. the problem is that most people will buy it, not LEARN how to use it PROPERLY, then sell it and bash it as a bad product.

I have it set at PSI not KPA.
I am using the inline filter, should i remove it?
also I do not know how to use it properly, I read a lot more than you think i did about the ebc and followed many peoples instructions yet i still dont get, thats why im using stock boost solenoid. Can you help me learn how to use it? I am by my car right now with the laptop in my lap.
