OK, I'm thinking about putting a remote starter in my car. They're not hard to make, but Ill need to know what I'm gonna need to put in it and where to plug it in.

For example, will I need an ignition bypass on a 90 gst or not? Will it have to run at a low idle, high idle, or normal?

If you've done it or ordered one, just chime in and tell me.

I installed a push button starter. It is the same concept expect instead of a button you will have the control device which is triggered by a remote. It is not hard to wire up if you have a good understanding of eletronics.

As for building one?!? No. I wouldn't even try it.

Also it is illegal to install one in a car that is equipped with a manual transmission.

This is from one of my old posts right before while I was planning it out.

Get the 12v power source from the ignition switch it is constant hot (meaning power is always going through it).

On the other side of the relay, DO NOT get the power straight from the battery. That was supposed to be an illustration showing that it needs to be also constant power, get it from the fuse box under the dash. You need to vampire clamp onto the starter signal wire under the dash, that wire is shown in purple, but it is NOT REALLY PURPLE, use a Haynes manual to find out which wire it is. I don't remember off the top of my head. It's actually relatively simply.

Good Luck!

You will need to disable your clutch switch so the car can start without needing to step on the clutch.

Its also smart to wire it up so the remote start will only work when the e-brake is on. The wire that leads from the ebrake to the brake light on your odometer is the one to tap into for that.

My remote starter(Viper) has a rpm sensor built in so if my engine rpm is too high or too low it will automatically shutdown the engine. However, you can customize it so the engine shuts down at your specified rpm.

I'm not worried about laws, and I have to park in nuetral anyways. (Turbo timer) I could triy the e-brake thing, too. I've built them before, but nothing complicated like an automatic shutdown or anything fancy like that. I'm workin on disabling the cluth switch, just haven't gotten around to it, yet.

And thinks for the help, especially the diagram.
