I have a 91gsx with 2gmaf, 16g, 190lph, mbc, turboback, tial w/g, 550cc, tuned with afc neo. I just installed my GreedyRS BOV, I cut the old flange off and welded a new flange for the RS. All the vacume line are hooked up right but now I over boost. My gauge says it pushing 22 lbs and I feel all 22lbs.!! LOL:nono: I dont know what to do!!! I have turned mt mbc down, up, off, and still nothing. I have even soften and harded the bov and nothing??? need help !!!

that same thing happened to me with a greddy type-s. It was a leaky bov so I boosted like 8 psi more than I should. I just changed the bov and problem solved.

Try giving it a boost leak test and if its leaking out of the bov then fix it.
When you say turned the mbc off does that mean you bypassed it entirely??

The vacume line from the bov is connected with my wastegate vacume line and my intake line. There T'ed off. I didnt really mean turned off I just truned the knob all the way down. The BOV is brand new, could it be just a bad bov because it is quieter than my stock one.

It probably just needs to be adjusted, to make sure it doesn't have anything to do with your mbc I would start by bypassing that and running a straight vacuum line. Then start playing with the adjustment on your bov.

Btw, I'm not to sure about having your mbc tied into your intake?? I have my j-pipe tapped and thats whats hooked up to my mbc.

If you turned the knob all the way down...That is full boost.. You have to unscrew the jamnut and loosen it out to turn it down...:coy:

Well I didnt know that LOL How did I tune it the first time hahahha. Lucky I gess but Ive screwed it all the way up also and no change at all. It just seems that I dont have boost controll.

It sounds good on theory to screw it in would be to turn it down... Turning it to far up is not good either.. Hope thats it.. Try it... Put it about in the middle, go for a ride...

If not do what turbolover said, and just run off the w.g.

1. Don't tee into the BOV line. If you have a nipple on the J-pipe, use that for the MBC line. If not, JB weld a nipple on. You want the MBC line tapped as close to the compressor outlet as possible.

2. Do a boost leak test, you will most likely have a leak in the BOV line.

3. Run a line directly to the wastegate, bypassing the MBC. If it reads 10 psi or so, then your MBC is most likely the problem. If it still goes up to 22, then it's not your MBC.

4. Make sure the MBC is hooked up properly(correct side leading to the wastegate and correct side going to the pressure source). If it is a ball and spring type, the fitting with the tiny extra hole in it should lead to the wastegate.

Can you draw up how to bypass my mbc.... this is how its set up

Go from bov line "where you have it teed" to wastegate with one straight vacuum line.

Like said above don't tie your mbc into you bov line! Wait until you have it set up properly to reinstall the mbc.

I picked up a 1/8" npt fitting from local hardware store and tapped my j-pipe.

Look at this artwork...

You do not want to hook your MBC/wastegate to the BOV line. In fact, you don't want to tap into the BOV line for anything. You want it before the throttle body, preferably, as close as possible to the compressor outlet.

Listen to what turbolover10 and Mr Peepers are telling you, they are exactly right.

Teeing into your BOV will only add another factor to your problem. You shouldn't even do it in the first place.

If you have a nipple on the j-pipe, connect that directly to the nipple on the wastegate. Simple as that.
