2nd and thrid gear issues please help

okay my car will go smoothly through out first gear. and then secont gear at wide open throtle it will cut out for a split sec at 4500 and 5500 and 6500 for a split second. rpms will keep going but its like the car shuts down for a split sec, and thrid at wipe open throtel

its a 97 tsi awd big 16 g.
 
sounds like fuel cut or the spark being blown out under higher loads... BUT... seeing how there's nothing much about your setup in your profile we're going to need more info about your setup, amount of boost and so forth before we can help diagnose
 
okay i have
i am pushing about 18-20 psi stock fuel pump. ported and polished head. 8mm wires, ngk plugs proted 02 hosing, 2.5 in hard piping. 36x12x3 fmic, aem fuel rail. black top 1g injectors and ebay fpr, i was told i could rewire my fuel pump? and use the for to control it?
 
i also have an adj wastegate, is that the only way i can control my boost? casue when i have turned down my man. bosst controler is realy doest affect anything
 
18-20 PSI is way to much. You don't have the supporting mods capable of safely running this, not to mention it is also too much for the t-25 to handle. What adjustable wastegate are you using? How are you running 1g injectors without something to tune with? Are you aware that 1g injectors are actually a downgrade from the 2g injectors? You could rewire your fuel pump, but that will only help your car running stock conditions. Is the e-bay FPR adjustable? If not, plan on getting a new one.

Your goals at the moment are:
1. Get your boost down.
2. Figure out what is going on with your FPR and injectors
3. BLT
4. Don't boost/do any pulls.
 
He already indicated he has a big 16g. Was your mbc installed correctly? Sounds like the spring could be shot. I'd start with a tuning system like dsm link or ecu+(My next mod!!) This will take care of your fuel cut, plus give you a way to control the injectors....what the hell, I'd probably upgrade the entire fuel system injectors, fuel lines, even the pump. IMO, you have too much turbo for your current setup:dsm:

Walbro 190 or 255 (255 requires an adjustable FPR), some 660cc injectors, and something to tune with (Dsmlink, Safc, Ecu+).. I recommend Dsmlink as it has alot more settings.. Also, rewiring the fuel pump would be a good idea..

Isn't the car cutting out at WOT a problem? Besides, you don't know if there's a problem because you have no way of diagnosing a problem. You need to hit the basics such as maintenance, fixing your MBC and a logger. Jumping straight to fuel pump and DSMLink will not solve your problems.
