Got my first dsm!, 90 turbo laser front wheel drive, 5 speed. I need to haul it about 8 miles. I searched and found only 1 post about towbars. I should have no issue since mines a 5 speed, fwd. My question is where would be a good spot to hookup on the laser? I assume on the bumper support somewhere. Anyone have experience doing this? Thanks!

Some 1gs have tow hook points just behind the lower bumper cover. Check out this picture, you can see the one on the passenger side just forward and to the right of the SMIC (ignore the orientation of the engine/trans being lowered...it is rotated 90 degrees to get it out from under the car). It's hard to see in the pic, but there's another one on the driver's side.

From what I hear, only some 1g's have these.

:nono: Yes those "tow hooks" are for holding the car onto a transport trailer or railroad car! They are not strong enough or meant for pulling/towing the car on the road (other than maybe a very short flat distance like up your driveway and even then they will bend up - I know). If used to pull on the road they are very dangerous and can rip clean through when going up even a slight hill (don't ask how I know this :coy:).
