Headlight bulb question - NOOB ALERT! -

Are the headlight bulbs interchangable? One of my bulbs isn't working so I tried to put the left-side bulb into the right-side connector and it wouldn't fit. Is this normal? I noticed the right bulb was blue and the left looked OEM.

Nope there not interchangable. I cant remember which is dim or bright but one number is a 9005 nd the other is a 9006. Thats why the plugs wouldnt connect.

Thanks for the info. So, is it normal for the bulbs to be different color? The previous owner told me he installed aftermarket bulbs, but it looks like only one of them is blue.

I think he means he is taking out the high beam bulb and trying it into the regular spot or vice versa

driving lights are 9006
high beams are 9005

I tried switching the left-side (driving light) bulb into the right-side (driving light) connector, I didn't touch the high-beams. Well, if the connections are supposed to be the same, it looks like the dude replaced one and not the other. I guess I'll have to replace the connectors so they are both the same.

...my last post wasn't specific enough? I'm not trying to change a regular bulb into a high-beam connector. I'm talking about two separate headlight assemblies.
