Where to buy MD309947 ECU?

Because of my paranoia with getting a defective unit. My current Ecu looks perfectly fine, no visible acid burns, and it gives me CEL p0335 (Crank angle sensor).

looks like Wes saved ya. Check out the DSMlink Wiki site, it has info on how to test your ECU to see if any traces have a problem. Also if you bring it to one of the monday night meets, we can look at it for ya. Another note, the dealership will want and arm, leg, firstborn child, and grandchild for one due to it being discontinued. I'd rather take my chances with buying a USED OEM one than some remanufactered one from china anyday.

You can look at www.ffwdconnection.com and call them in regards to there 2g eprom ECU. That's where I bought my dsmlink and eprom ECU. There's usually a back-order. You can also ask them about there re-build process just to make sure your ECU is in top condition.

Thanks for the tips guys. YES, the ECU is the problem and I'm very SURE. :notgood: I swapped in a 99 ECU and the car ran normally.

Radiator fans is no longer always on
Dreaded p0335 crank angle sensor CEL is gone
Timing is no longer retarded from 5-3.

When you swapped the ecu out did you have to flash it to the vin #? I thought the ecu was vin specific..

Nope. If the OP doesn't have DSM link and isn't planning on getting it, he could use a non eprom 2ga ECU which are easily available new old stock and inexpensive. Any 2ga ECU will work, whether manual or automatic, awd or fwd.
