Ok So I Recently Installed a motor in my friend gst and was wondering if cause his car is a 1990 if there are any other sensors besides the cam angle? because it the car being a 1990 i know that the motors a 1993 so can someone help me out with this and also would non turbo spark plug wires effect anything the car is bogging down when it hits boost like after 5k rpms

I only understood the last part so all I can really recommend, is that you do a boost leak test. Swap the wires and see if it makes a difference as well.

 Boost leak test it. As for the plug wires I don't see them being a problem but you may want tomake sure they arent arcing out to an easier ground. So have the hood open, and the car running in the dark, and look for a spark, or inspect the wires VERY well and look for pin holes that are white. Also please try to proof read what you are typing because you will get a better responce from people...and if you spoke in one loonnnngggggg sentance like that in real live you would look like this :coy: in the face.

The wires will work fine if they are in good condition. It wouldn't hurt to pick up a new set because they aren't that expensive. Boost leak tests NEVER hurt!! :thumb: Clarify what it is you are trying to find the answer for and give more detailed symptoms and people will be more likely to help. big_d :talon::laser::dsm:

alright cool what i mean also is the car is a 1990 it was a 1990 eclipse gst and i thought that the 90 years of the dsm's are different like the ecu and some sensors to so which sensors off the 90 engine do i need to transfer over to the new 93 engine?

The 90 ECU is different, because the tach doesn't work on 91-94 unless you modify the ECU a litle.

90 CAS and coil are both different as well. Do a search and you'll find what you need about the differences between 90's and other 1gs.
