I bought a 90 gsx a few months ago, i got 2 cars for 800 one good car and a parts car, (parts car auto fwd) last owner said he had problems with the trans not going into 1st and 2nd gear, on (5spd trans) 3rd through 5th is ok, you can push the gear shift to the left and up or to the left and down and the trans acts like it's going into 3 and forth when you release the clutch he told me he replaced the shifter bushings and it didn't fix the problem. I'm going to pull the trans out and inspect the shifter forks and synchro's, I'm looking for info if anyone has had a simular problem? I have always owned hondas I currantly own 3. one is a ls turbo I know my way around a car i have a degree in automotive. I want to know if there is a site where I can download a copy of the facory service manual. I have looked up and down on this site seached everything I can think of. I want the manual so I can have all of the torque specs and service limits. I've always wanted a dsm just never found the right one, until now. I also have a connection with jdm parts, which trans out of which evo fits and will work in my eclipse just in case it's not worth fixing. thanks in advance!!:thumb: If any one needs a body or body parts or interior pieces whats left of parts car is for sale (everything except motor trans and front seats) complete body in very good condition. I'm located in new orleans area.

I would be willing to bet that the shifter cables need to be adjusted. The side to side cable, which should be on the drivers side of the shifter. Pull the boot off around the shifter and you should be able to see what I am talking about. But I would inspect the shifter cables before pulling the tranny.

I checked the shifter cables already they seem to be working ok, i checked that when I pulled the carpet and seats out for a good cleaning (car has 180K on it) where should I search to find what trans out of a evo fits my car?
