a/c belt replacement need help!!!

ok i was driving my car in 2nd gear and when i hit secound it screaded my a/c belt. how hard are they to replace it looks real tight in there? and dose anyone know the size of a belt to get rid of my a/c? i think the a/c seized up and i just want to get rid of it.

If you want to delete the A/C, just leave the belt off. It has it's own belt. And when you get a chance, maybe when the head is off or something, you can remove that heavy ass compressor and the A/C lines like I did!

But the belt isn't hard to replace if you did want to...

Just pull the a/c. It'll save you a decent amount of weight.

well when it broke i now dont have any movment for my alternator. so i cant drive without that belt. i also dont have power steering. so i have to get this belt. or else my other belt wont move

Well you have 3 belts. The A/C and alternator/water pump belts are driven off of the crank pulley and the power steering belt is run off of the water pump pulley. The A/C belt is by itself, so you don't need that one. However, at a minimum, you do need the belt for your alternator/water pump for obvious reasons. Right now that is the only belt that I am running because I deleted my A/C and power steering on my GSX.

Does that make sense?
