Hey guys/girls, ive done a lot of searches for this type of problem but have had little success. My problem is that both the 90* female and male connectors on top of the turbo seem to both be stripped. I know at least the female part is toast. The owner before me installed a SS braided line with what appears to be a built-in 90* elmbow. Now, i not very mechanically inclined (im eager to learn and this site has helped a lot), but i noticed it was leaking a little bit from the top of the turbo so i tried to wrench it down a little. After what seemed like an hour of wrenching, the thing still spun pretty freely. i started the car to see if any progress was made but when i went back to check it, the line was completely detached, resulting in a few curse words and an unsightly stain in my driveway. Now im wondering, what are the possibilities of a repair for this situation? or is a new oil feed line in my near future? also, if the male connector on the turbo is stripped, can i just helicoil it, or possibly a new turbo too? this is very frustating and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

btw, setup is:
'95 Talon TSI FWD
16g turbo
any other info needed, just ask.

use a die and cut it smaller make sure that you get a copper washer to match what you have to cut the threads to. Only go as far as you need to. Also I'm not sure myself but that might be a removable stud that you can get a replacement for.

hmm, i see..but if i cut the stud down using a die, wont that make it to small for the female part to thread onto? or does the helicoil make the ID of the hole smaller? thanks a lot for the help, i think im finally gettin somewhere..LOL

edit: ill check to see if the stud is removable..it does have a 1/2" head at the bottom where the stud meets the turbo, but i couldnt get it to budge
