Toronto,
I am kinda new in dsm world... just got my 91 eagle talon tsi fwd which is pity much stock........the car is running fine so far but since last night i noticed that whenever i turn my steering wheel while the car just starts moving from the driveway(slow)....... it sounds like clunk clunk clunk from the front wheels...i m not sure but its coming from the front side ........anybody has any ideas what it could be?

i have the same problem and the mechanic said its the Brake pads from inside and outside . plus everybody here in the forum is saying the same :) so iam 100% sure that its the brake pads ( the brakes are expensive here thats bad :(

do a bleeding for your steering wheel it will be smoother after you finsih changing the brakes and adding some new fluid.

Good luck

Dsmcraz is a good friend of mine and here is what I experienced when I drove his car today. When making a left turn you would hear a, "buck," sort of noise coming from the front driver side. Now keep in mind, this only happens at slow and gradual speeds. For example, like pulling out of the driveway and you have the steering wheel turned left and for instance driving around in a strip plaza at slow speeds and making a left turn. I am not much of a dsm suspension expert so he would require more insight into this situation.

Moreover, there is also another noise coming which in my opinion has nothing to do with what was descirbed above and please correct if I am wrong. While coming to a stop gradually (applying brakes) again from the front driver side, there seems to be a rubbing noise coming. Its almost like metal to metal contact and at a very slow speed. I think its the brake pads but once again correct if I am wrong. I also tried coming to a stop without applying brakes and their was no noise at all.

Thanks
Osman
