two days ago i noticed, that something wrong with my clutch.the clutch now starts to kick in like 1/4 pedal of the floor. Before it was like half way of the floor. i bleed the clutch 5 times, didnt helped, tried to adjust slave cylinder rod,no luck aether. my guess right now is that my pressure plate could be shot is it possible? because i wanna try everything before i have to drop the tranny, which i really dont like to do

I've had situations too with my ACT 2600 clutch. Despite the high performance they can take the throw-out bearing in the kit is garbage. It burn up my disc, pressure plate, and cracked my flywheel all under 10,000 miles of use.

Other than that, your master and/or slave may need to be replaced.

i replaced both cylinders when i put my new clutch kit, which was like 1500 miles ago maybe less then that.so you mean if i replace my act TOB to an oem TOB ,would it solve my problem?

Check your pedal assembly to make sure it's not worn out at the pivot point. Mine worn out in a month with an act 2600.

2600 is a 2600 lbs. pressure plate versus the 2100 which is a 2100 lbs. which puts the fork and pivot ball through more stress. Then again it maybe the case especially if it's still stock fork and pivot ball from 1990 and how hard you drive the car. Check it out.

Also check the assembly under the dash. Push the pedal in and then let it out, then try and pull the peal up. If it comes up it is the lever at the end of the clutch pedal assembly that wares out on higher pedal clutches. This is just a thought before you go pulling the trans.

i did that pedal looks really good and feels tight im pulling tranny out tomorrow and see whats wrong, cause i tried everything and everything outside the tranny looks good ill post up the results as soon as i open tranny

ok i opened my tranny today, and this what i found, TOB was messed up,pressure plate was overheat, and my clutch disk was worn out.700 miles i made with my clutch setup.thats my third ACT clutch past 4 months. No more ACT'S .......
Now in looking at Fidanza 3.2 clutch kit, which i think would be a really nice upgrade after the shi**y ACT 2100
What do you guys think?
Fidanza

i read alot about the 4puck clutch disk, and i saw a lot of people are not recommending for a daily driver, but then i went to fidanza website and read an article that with their 4puck clutch disk you can drive on the streets without any problems, plus it says, that engagement of the clutch is way smoother then 6puck.Is That true???

I had that problem too, I know for sure that its not the master or slave... most likely the TOB or pressure plate.
